Welcome.

Welcome to Suzy's Beauty Diary. Here I will be posting, blogging, reviewing, musing and maybe even venting about various beauty related things. An appropriate intro to my blog would be an intro to myself, don't you think?

I'm just an ordinary girl who loves her skincare, makeup, hair care and nails. I'm studying to be a teacher, but one day I want to give the fashion industry a shot. I hear you ask: so why a beauty blog? Not a style blog? Well put it this way, I think style is extremely personal and fashion is my passion (I know that's a bit cheesy) and beauty is my hobby. But the two of them go hand in hand, so there may be the rare style post here and there.

My heart lies in the world of natural skincare. My fave brand of skincare is Jurlique. To say I'm a little obsessed is an understatement. The shop assistants at my local store know my name. Awks. I justify my addiction to skin care by claiming that we only have one face, so take care of it. Any one agree? Runner ups to Jurlique include Aesop, Sukin, Trilogy and Grown Alchemists.

So a bit about my skin. In a nutshell, I have acne prone, combination skin. My skin used to be a lot oiler, but recently I have noticed a change and I am finding it to be quite dry. In an attempt to balance my skin and achieve that crystal-clear look, I have recently upped my moisturisers to include an anti-ageing serum and some Rosehip oil. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin since starting the Rosehip oil, in case you were wondering.

As far as makeup goes, I love the 'I just rolled out of bed looking like this' look. My go to brand is MAC,  of course. You just can't beat their products (at least in my opinion) and their colour ranges. I wear NW20, which is a purrrrrrfect match! For everything except mascaras, I seem to gravitate towards the counters of David Jones, Myer, and Mecca Cosmetica. I have pretty dam good eyelashes, if I may say so myself, so I don't feel the need to splurge on mascara. The Maybeline ones do me fiiiiiiiiine. After the sun has set, my base stays pretty much the same - minus the SPF - and we add in a little winged eyeliner and a bright pout.

Thanks so much for taking your time to read this, if anyone is... It means a lot to me. I know how much time I spend on the likes of beautymouth.com and viviannadoesmakeup.com and I hope that one day soon, people will return to me for some advice.
